Don't Need This

Well, well, well. Someone thought we are so addicted to our iPod that we need to take it everywhere. Everywhere.

No, not me. I can do without this.

Podfading?

From Kay Headley, insight into some pod-related jargon:

podfading: What happens to the vast majority of podcasts. After the
initial excitement of producing your own podcast (which occurs about the
10th show), the thrill wears off. You realize very few people are
listening or really care for your efforts -- and that the whole
podcasting thing is a lot of work. So you just fade away.

Working in California

Proof that we were there, that the setting was not as spacious as Studio A, that the dress code was...casual.

Look at Dave Salkeld mutiltask with paper and computer!

Focus Friday Launch!

As I write this post, hour one of "Focus Friday" on KGFT is coming to a close. Bill and Juli are having fun, the energy level is high, and I'd say this first show has been a great success!

Thank you, thank you to each and every individual who has contributed to the effort. What a fast three weeks it has been since we secured the green light on this project, and the team "pull" on the ropes has been crucial. .As we've all pulled in the same direction, and with coordination and determination, we've achieved a great thing. The show launch is a first for us in many respects. Thanks for your continued prayers as we press ahead...in hour two, and in the coming weeks!

Variety Show

Finally back in the office for a few days. Here are a variety of items to cover:

Thanks to David Wheaton for the inspiring reminder today. He spoke at our devos this a.m., and I appreciated his heart and message. Check out his website.

Sorry, the link for Patrick Dunn's blog about the Brio Peru missions trip has not been updated since he left the country. Evidently the postings were "pre-trip" in nature, and not intended to keep those of us at home informed about the trip's activities.

Related to above: Go here to see daily postings of pics from the Brio trip. Do you see any of our Broadcast folks hard at work?

Here is a link to the ImUp article about "Focus Fridays" on KGFT. We're excited about this opportunity! Pray for Bill and the entire team - there is a lot going on right now as we approach the launch pad!

(T) iPod Weddings

It is a new trend.

I love it.

If you are heading down the altar soon, consider ditching that DJ for a simple piece of gear: the iPod. Why go for recorded music without all that "fun" banter?
"What could be easier?" said Lori Leibovich, editor of IndieBride.com, a Web site for brides. "You bring it, you program it, it sounds great. It doesn't surprise me at all that more people are doing it."
